What is the Sample Software?
Scheduling
To use a FlexRay system, you need to configure a scheduling to use each communication slot within a communication cycle in advance. Therefore, when you want to add and delete nodes, you need to reconfigure the scheduling. Also, at least 2 nodes of those connected to a FlexRay system have to be coldstart nodes.
For smooth introduction of a FlexRay system, GT201N00 comes up with the demo software consisting of 3 nodes (2 coldstart nodes + 1 non-coldstart node).
Configuration of Communication Cycle of the Demo Software
As the standard accessory, GT201N00 comes with the Demo Software consisting of 3 nodes with the communication cycle specifications as listed below.
- 3 Nodes/ Cluster
- 2 Static Slots/ Node
- 2 Dynamic Slots/ Node
- 8 Bytes Payload or 64 Bytes Payload/ Static Slot
- Slot 1 and Slot 2 are startup frames.
- Slot 1, Slot 2 and Slot 3 are synchronous frames.
- Payload length is either 8-byte or 64-byte.
- Node 4 is only scheduled.
- Data is received by all nodes other than transmission nodes.
Changing the Scheduling
You can change the scheduling by using FlexRay ConfiguratorPro Lite by Advanced Data Controls Corp. as illustrated below.
